Group dog obedience training is the most economical, successful approach to a better dog. Dogs acquire stability through social interaction and learn to listen to their owners amid distractions, giving you real world reliability. We use positive motivation to shape behavior. Our instructors are very experienced and are skilled with all breeds, as well as knowledgeable about all the different types of training equipment. People and dogs are all different, so there is no one type of training equipment that is appropriate for all dogs. It takes years of experience to be a quality dog trainer. You can't learn it all in a few weeks or months. Beware of "accredited" trainers that lack real life experience.

Our goal is to make training fun for you and your dog. The entire family is welcome to participate in the course, including children over the age of 7 years.

Courses are 6 weeks long, 1.5 hours per week and come with UNLIMITED FREE REPEATS. Call for start dates and times. All courses cost $120.00.

For puppies 10 weeks to 5 months in age. Emphasizes "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Socialization at this age is crucial for a confident, friendly temperament. Our kind and reliable methods teach the puppies obedience commands as well as good manners. Don't wait for bad habits to develop! This is a very comprehensive program, most of our puppy graduates require no further training. We teach all the basic obedience commands as well as good manners, house training, puppy proofing your home, crate training, leader exercises, plus grooming and nutrition.

For dogs 6 months and over. Our program emphasizes owner awareness and results in an enjoyable pet. We teach all the basic commands - sit, down, stand, stay, come, heel, let's go, watch me - as well as manners such as off, wait, move, leave it, quiet, go to your place. We go into leader issues and also cover the common behavior problems like jumping up, digging, chewing, barking, etc. Improve your dog's social skills and learn to communicate clearly with your dog. Life is better with a well trained dog!

A program for graduates of a Puppy Kindergarten or Basic Course. Improve skills, develop off leash and distance control, and greater reliability around distractions. This course polishes your dog's performance in obedience as well as perfecting their manners. Also in the Advanced Course we will teach hand signals, jumping, retrieving and trick training. Included in the Advanced Course is the American Kennel Club "Canine Good Citizen" program.
